I really have no complaints with the toy box. I give it 4½ stars in appearance. It was well constucted and rather easy to assemble (yes, there was some assembly required). There is one thing though, the hinges on the lid do not allow the lid to rest straight up, vertically and will come back to the resting point possibly causing disscomfort or injury to ones head. The timing of the shipping was rather a long period of time too.
It was delivered before schedule... in tact and it's absolutely beautiful too. I just adore the little toy box!!

Because I want to help my follow customers. The pictures on the direction are very small and misleading. The safety hinges go spring facing in towards the back wall of the box. Installed them wrong and couldn't get the lid down. Also discovered after the company sent new hinges and lid for free that the hinges are labels L and R. First go around we got two Rs. Once we had a L and a R and turn the springs to face in the other direction, they worked great and the box closes all the way. Aside from that the other reviews are accurate, it is real wood, sturdy construction. I was disappointed in the quality, especially after picking a higher priced toy chest that was "made of all wood". The bottom didn't fit we'll into the frame so we had to put in a support piece.Want Child's Wooden Toy Box Chest - Cherry Discount?
I bought this for my son when was one year old. I love the look of it. The color is perfect. It is holding up pretty good so far (I've had it for almost a year) I don't have to worry about it smashing his fingers and it very sturdy! Great buy!!Save $0.01 Off
