Queen Size Platform Bed in Espresso Bycast Leather

I was looking for a platform bed, with soft edges, and modular headboard. I found the The ModRest Platform Bed online at a select few distributors, but at exorbitant prices (3-5k range). When I saw this on amazon for $500-600, I was skeptical of the quality but I have never been more pleased with a piece of furniture.

It is soft on all edges, with quality craftsmanship. It is a sturdy build. I would recommend two people to assemble to help the dowels meet up at each corner. Another tip do not completely screw in the corner brackets until all pieces are connected it will save you time for adjusting to ensure all angles meet 90 degrees. The bed also comes in several large and heavy boxes, although in very good condition.

The headboard pieces are very sturdy as well, with two heavy metal brackets slotting into the side of the bedframe/mattress. It slots in on any side of the bed, and supports a substantial amount of weight if you're leaning against it to read a book or watch TV.

You can use a box spring in this frame, although, the mattress alone is more attractive.

The color on the pictures looks more like a chocolate brown it's actually really dark espresso as the name suggests.

I'm contemplating purchasing the white version for a guest room. The feet of this bed are well tucked beneath the soft edges, so those of you who are clumsy will LOVE this bed no more sore shins.

Purchasing furniture online without seeing the item has been hit or miss for me, but this is definitely a purchase I am extremely happy with.

I purchased this stand for my daughters room and have been satisfied with it so far. The only negative that I've noticed is that 3 of the 4 shelves are free floating, resting only on rubber bumper pads, and can be bumped out of position fairly easily. The assembly wasn't excessively complicated but it was time consuming and involved. In summary, this seems to be a decent product that does what it is intended to do.

The stereo component stand is excellent...... unless you want to move it. With or without the components the stand is very heavy (glass). If you have carpeting it is almost impossible to move without 90% dissasembly. Once in place however, it is very nice and controls most wires etc without looking like a spagetti bowl in the back, but running the wires to components without being able to move the completed stand is very difficult.

Baker Rack with Slate Inlaid in Dark Bronze Finish

This item was everything I expected (and more!). The box arrived in good shape (via FedEx) and all the parts and pieces were all included. Each piece was packed VERY WELL (esp the glass shelves). Very easy to put together and very sturdy. The largest glass shelf supports our new microwave with no problem. I have this rack in our bar area of the family room and it looks even better than pictured. We have other furniture in the room with slate accents and this piece matches perfectly! I am a very satisfied customer...and I will order from this company again!

I put this together over the weekend. One person, 45 minutes with breaks for changing the music on the ipod, fiddling with the stereo and retrieving the bolts from my cat. The fasteners they give you come in a little baggie of bolts. There's no cardboard backed plastic container with labels, just a little red plastic bag of bolts. No extras so you'd better find any you drop or that the cat runs off with. They must coat these with used french fry oil because whenever I turned my back my cat would be running off with one in his mouth.

Though it goes together well and I had few issues doing it myself, the instructions are laughable. They consist, in their entirety of one page with four pictures in various stages of assembly. There are no written instructions whatsoever. If these guys made a guide to learning to play the flute it would say, "Blow in one end and move your fingers up and down the holes. There! You're playing the flute!"

Just remember this to save some time and headaches. Put it all together but don't tighten it all up until you're finished or you'll have to loosen bolts for it to fit together.

Now for the measurements! Is there anything more annoying than the vague measurements they provide? I wanted to know what would fit in each shelf. So here are the assembled measurements. I rounded down to the next 1/4" so if it read 16 3/8", I'll give it as 16 1/4".

Starting from the floor to the bottom shelf/rack to the bottom of wine rack, then from the top of the wine rack shelf to the bottom of the 'middle' shelf, then from the top of the 'middle' shelf to the bottom of the top shelf;

From ground to bottom of (lowest) bottom shelf/rack 7"

(Top of) Lowest shelf/rack to bottom of wine rack 19 1/4"

(Top of) Wine rack shelf to bottom of next 'middle' shelf 15 1/2"

(Top of) Middle shelf to bottom of top shelf 14"

DEPTH of shelves, from the front of the back poles to the front of the shelf;

Bottom, lowest rack 16" (Measurement between the front and back poles on the sides.)

Wine rack shelf 17" (I have a very deep microwave on mine. I chose this rack because of the depth. It just barely fits, but it fits.)

Choose your vendor wisely. I was ready to buy and one vendor who provided free shipping was out of stock. I went with the next vendor and paid about $35 more. The next day the cheaper vendor had stock again. Shipping took a while but it arrived unscathed. Still pleased with purchase.

Although it's listed as a brown finish, it's so close to black as to be negligible. I actually love this rack, I'm just annoyed that the finish is SO cheap, it scuffs off if you sneeze at it. It came damaged on the top, looks like it got banged pretty hard in shipping, and it took off a chunck of the top post but I just took a little spray paint to it and you can't even tell now. It looks like it would be one of those flimsy metal racks that wobbles constantly, but it's not at allit sits very still and it's got a lot of space. THe wine rack only holds the narrowest of wine bottles, so don't count on it holding all "regular" sized wine bottles...Mirrasou fits, but Jargon doesn't, and to my eye they're the same size. Odd. But it'll hold 15 wine glasses (!) and the slate is gorgeous. I would buy it again.

SEI Cartwright Convertible Electric Fireplace

Purchased this product as a more attractive space heater for my bedroom. The actual fireplace was delivered before the cabinet so don't be alarmed if you receive separate shipments. Putting the cabinet together was very simple and can be done by one person with little mechanical skills. I would recommend using wood glue to keep the wooden pegs that help hold the pieces together better. The wood stain and slate frontage piece look terrific and I have received compliments after I set it up. The remote makes it easy to control. I use this in a bedroom that has about 400sq feet with high ceilings and even at half heat mode, it kept the room warm. A great look to any room; I am very happy with this fireplace. I hope you enjoy it as much!

Totally worth the money! It is a quality piece. I was able to assemble it myself (it was that easy) You only need a screwdriver and it was a good thing since thats all I've got :) It locks together securely and know that no matter how many times I move, it can take it! Wasn't quite sure by the description of all that it was capable of, so I'll let you know. You can manually adjust or use the remote to turn it on/off (both just the fire effects and/or the heater), adjust the brightness of the logs from off to super bright, adjust the flaming effect from off to high effects (which is a little added niceness that I didn't know I was getting). And the switches and dials are hard to get to (I had to use a pencil to switch it on) which is nice because I'm not worried about my small children being able to play with them. I have nice new things but this is definitely the nicest thing in the room :)

We purchased this electric fireplace to sit in the corner of our living room. It has an attractive physical presence and looks nice in its location. It is substantial and well built. The ability to turn on the "flame" without the heat is a nice touch.

It is shipped in two packages one includes the cabinet and the other includes the heating unit. The cabinet is extremely well packaged and one would be unlikely to obtain it in a damaged condition. I was impressed with how well they packaged it.

But we were a bit disappointed in the "oak finish". It does not match the rest of our oak furniture as it has a darker finish (darker than the pictures show it to be). Still, it is quite attractive and "COZY IN KENTUCKY", who stated below that it looks better than the pictures, is correct.

Assembly is easy, but will take some time. Set aside an hour or two and use wood glue on the wooden dowels as others have suggested. While it is much easier to assemble with two people, one person can handle the task although it could be awkward to do so. An electric screwdriver is a great help. Instructions were supposed to be included, but were not included in my packaging. All else was as it should be. The instructions are easy to obtain and seem to be commonly left out of the package as SEI has spelled out how to obtain them in their FAQ. A simple call, or email, will result in the instructions being faxed or emailed directly to you. Unfortunately, SEI is not open past 5PM CST on Friday. If you have plans to assemble the unit over the weekend, and your instructions were not included, you will be out of luck until Monday. I found several people across the internet trying to locate the instructions and in the same fix as myself.

Overall, this is a nice unit, easy to assemble, works as it should, and is quite attractive. If you are looking for a reasonably cheap and good looking electric fireplace, you should consider this one.

We loved the idea of non-permanent space wall stickers for our son's room. The stickers, however, do no stay on the walls (corners start to turn up) and the stars don't "glow" at night. One other thingmy 5 year old is a space fanatic and the planets in this set are not the 9 planets several are missing and there are two plant earths. Why wouldn't they include one of each planet? Disappointed in the whole thing!

They go on easy and remove easily if you want to re-adjust. And they are a good sizes, they filled up the whole wall and the glow in the dark stars my son loves looking at them at night. They look great on a dark wall!! We've had these stickers on our wall for a Year now and they are Not pealing off & our corners are flat. I think it depends on the paint on your wall, I used high quality paint so our sticker stick. Also if you have a low light like 40 watt buld the stars won't glow, my son has a 75 watt lamp (you can see it in the picture) he turn that on (which is right by the stickers) and all the stars glow. You do have to have a good quality light for the stars to absorb enough light so they can glow in the dark it would be that way with any glow in dark objects.

I am very happy with this product, I am glad I purchased it. It was easy to apply, and they look great on the wall. However, there are two things that I think you should know before you purchase this item.

1) The stars barely glow, the light emitted by these "glow-in-the-dark" stars is the barest amount possible. I would go as far as to say that they don't actually glow in the dark at all.

2) The planets you receive are incomplete. You get 2 jumbo sized planets, 1 jumbo sized moon, and 6 planets whose size are complimentary to each other. They double up on some planets, and don't give you others.

Coaster Kid's GI Child Bunk Bed with Slide and Tent, Twin Size

This bed was perfect for my 5 year old son. Its a tad bit shorter the I had assumed how ever it seem to be the perfect hight for him. The lay out is wonderful , it gives him plenty of room to store toys in the section right under the bed frame and still enough room in the tent area to play. Just to give you an idea my husband, son , 8 month old daughter and i had plenty of room (with out the toys in the back section being added). The slide is incredible strong and i love the railings that keep your child on the side as her/she goes down. I also was happy about the fact that you can place the latter on the left or right end of the bed and the slide and ten on the front.

HOWEVER..... When the product was delivered at my house the box was in HORRIBLE(!!!!) condition!! The box it self was BARLEY hanging together by tape and there were scratches on the bed post as well as the top of the slide was bent and the back security rail was warped do to being bent. I was VERY disappointed in the shipping care, had i not been on a time crunch (and my husband being able to some what bend the pieces "back") i would have sent it back and DEMANDED a new bunk bed! My best advice is order way a head of when you need to product so you can have the option of returning if the same thing happens to you.

This bed says that kids outgrow it around 8yrs old. I would agree with this.(10yrs would be the age they would no longer want the slide) We got ours when my son was about 2 1/2yrs old. We made a plywood platform covered with green carpet and put on the top and put a bunkie style matress in the tent. My son played on the platform top deck and slept inside the tent. I'm not a tall person and I could stand in front of the bed and reach my young son easily. I could also crawl inside the tent and put my son to bed with lots of room. We also had a toy box inside the tent. We would move the mattress from the top to the bottom depending on where he wanted it.The tent just ties on to the bed and can be removed it the child no longer wants the tent. I think we got a lot of good use out of the bed and was able to pass it to someone else. We used the bed for 6 years and it lasted well. It was not only a bed but also a playset for us.

I had it delivered to the local warehouse and picked it up using my Tahoe, having to put the seats down, but it fit fine. Not difficult to assemble, and I'm a single mom. It was time consuming, but nothing more than I expected an assembly project to take. It's very sturdy, well built and my son, who's 5 but turning 6 (43 lbs), absolutely loves it. It hides his rubbermaid toy box, a Cars toy bin and he has a bean bag with a light under for a place to lounge. A little awkward for getting him in and out of bed when he's sleeping, but that's cuz I'm short. He loves using the slide to get out of bed. I use the ladder and get in bed with him to read books each night and can use the slide to get out, and I'm 120lbs. Overall, a great purchase!

This bed went together fairly easily. Could've been easier had the hardware been labled-there were drawings in the instructions but no labling on the hardware itself. The bed is well constructed and plenty sturdy for little guys, don't think I ought to do any sliding though :). My son is almost three and he LOVES it. There is lots of space under the bed and in the tent for playing. We have a kid's chair and a bunch of toys underneath and he still has room for playing. Pretty cool!

Ordered this set in the cali king. Gorgeous quality set with huge euro pillows (not just the pillow covers) thrown in. Came in a big box. Unfortunately, the description states the accent color is blue with hints of green but it color is definitely a seafoam green. No blue tone whatsover. The chocolate color is gorgeous though! I wish it was blue. It will be a great set for you if your decor includes a light/seafoam green.

The comforter looked a great deal different than what I saw from the picture. However, it actually looked better in my opinion! I was worried because the top of it seemed a little rough, and I LOVE soft things, but it turned out that the underside is PLENTY soft which is just fine with me. It looks fabulous with my brand new bed!!

This product is not 14 pieces. We ordered and loved it, but thought we were getting sheets. No sheets, but no big deal. Then we counted the items. There are only 11 items. We called manufacturer and asked about the missing 3 peices. We were told that the pillows contain extra stuffing, therefore, the 3 pillows count as 2 peices each. So instead of 3 pillows, they consider them 6. We told them that this is false advertising. You can't have 1 item and call it 2 just for the sake of it. It's 1 item! We returned the set based on principal. Just keep this in mind when purchasing this product.

This comforter set looks very elegant/rich in our bedroom. We did not use the dust ruffle because we bought one from DoubleUps for Beds because we have an adjustable bed. We bought an ivory dust ruffle which I think is a nicer color that the one sent with the comforter...the one with the comforter is a gold color and adds too much glitz. The King set fit our King bed perfectly. I only wish it wouldn't have been so wrinkled when it arrived (thus, the four stars instead of five).

Vibrant Butterflies Nursery/Kids' Room Wall Sticker Decals (Glow in the dark)

I actually bought these for an unconventional use. I use them on my smart car as decoration. I have discovered that you can use static cling or wall decals on a clean car and it will not hurt your paint job. You can remove them easily when you decide you no longer want that design. They are very sturdy and will stay put as long as you want them there.

That being said this particular design is very vibrant and you get a lot of butterflies for the money. I've had them on my car for 3 months now and they have not faded or peeled up at all. This is always a big plus in my book. They are a very thick vinyl and don't tear when you pull them off the sheet.

I think for a wall these would be a great choice.

This is probably my worst online purchase. I purchased two of the nightstands. After I unwrapped the first box and found that the nightstand was damaged, I did not even bother to open the second one. As I was taking pictures to show to the seller the defective nightstand, I noticed the quality of the nightstand was so poor. No wonder that it was damaged so easily. In addition, the product looks different than the picture shown online.

I bought two of these nightstands a few months ago. They are well put-together and the drawers don't catch. The finish is a little rough, and the drawers were narrower than I thought they would be. They are about four inches smaller than the width of the nightstand.

This is an attractive nightstand and looks well made. It came fully assembled (securely packaged) and in good condition. My husband also ordered one and his came with a very small chip the back corner on his (damage due to shipping). We used one of those furniture markers and you can hardly see the chip. Due to it being fully assembled and it's weight, it would have been more of a hassle to try to exchange it, so we sucked it up and dealt with it. The silver handles are a hard plastic (from the picture, they look like they are metal), but even up close you can't really tell they are plastic. They are not real wood, but appear to be and they look well made. The color is like a deep mahogany, very pretty. For the price, you can't beat them. They arrived quickly and for the most part, in good condition. I would recommend this seller.

The night stands are elegant and functional. They arrived in perfect assembled condition. The color, however, is darker than the one in the picture.

As one reviewer already noted, the finish is a bit darker than pictured. Drawers glide easily but you don't have to worry about pulling them out accidently. Hardware is sturdy (no flimsy knobs or wobbly drawer pulls). Solid construction. I love it.

Product is darker than shown on website. Item is also not completely solid wood as I saw particle board from the bottom as I unpacked it. Still, it looks like a substantial piece of furniture and I think I will be happy with it for years to come.

The bed risers are very sturdy, and the openings are large enough for the thick legs of my futon.

I was very pleased to purchase the Bed Risers. I was contemplating purchasing a box spring or another mattress to raise my bed. The risers are much more effective. I'll recommend to others, and I'll purchase more when I need them.

They do what they are supposed to do, raise the bed, and they do it well.

I am using 5 of them on a queensize bed to raise it to a more comfortable height. I was concerned that they would not be stable with me and the dogs and whatnot jumping into bed and bumping into it and such.

Have had them for about a year, no problems at all.

They hold the bed up, they are stable, they have not broken.

They work just as advertised. Gives us extra storage under our bed, and have not failed us yet. Nice to see them in white, as we have a white carpet and white undersheets. We've had them about a year.

This is a nice addition to my bedroom storage. For the limited amount of space I was trying to fill and get the most storage it fit the bill.

It arrived in good condition even though the shipping box was pretty beat up. The only thing I might like to have known beforehand, is that the drawers are about 2" narrower than the drawer fronts for no appearant reason since the guides are on the bottom, and the drawers don't appear to be removable. Overall I am happy with it and would probably buy it again.

A lovely, heavy, well built piece of furniture. It matches perfectly with my cherry finish bedroom suite. Taller than I expected but I love it.
