Nightstand with Poplar Veneer in Cappuccino

My nightstand came perfectly packed fully assembled, no dents or scratches or anything. It's a beautiful finish with sturdy craftsmanship but there's one downside: it's so TINY! The inside of each drawer is 12" x 11" and roughly 3 1/2" tall. Nowhere near as deep as I was hoping, but nevertheless a good buy.

2-2-13. We took a chance on this item and we are VERY glad we did. The price is very good and the manufacture quality is much better than expected. The night stand came fully assembled in several layers of packaging including: 1) foam wrapping around th entire night stand; 2)shink wrap around the foam layer; 3) solid foam inserts to take up space around the drawers to keep them from shifting during shipping; 4) expanded foam corner spacers on top corners to prevent outer box from touching the finished surfaces; 5) wood and pressboard pallet for the bottom of the box for the nightstand to rest on;6) heavy shaped cardboard cover for the top of the nightstand to prevent damage to the top surface; 6) heavy duty cardboard box for the entire package that was specifically made for this unit; and 7) reinforced heavy pressboard on all box edges to prevent damage to the outer cardboard box during transport.

Product is made in Viet Nam of 1/2 inch thick rubbertree wood composition board, other wood for veneers, multi-layer plywood drawers with center metal drawer guides including drawer stop to keep the drawers from sliding out of the cabinet. The back panel is 1/8" pressboard (like Masonite)stapled to the wood frame. Color is dark, sort of like a dark pine, that is well spray-distributed into the wood surfaces. Nice finish that appears to be satin-gloss lacquer.

Dimensions are 21.5" wide (side-to-side) x 15.5" deep (front-to-back) x 24" tall, including 1/4" plastic sliders on the bottom corners to prevent floor scuffing and wood damage.

My only complaint is in the description placed on amazon.com that made the dimensions unclear and provided little information about the product. I had to go to other vendor websites to learn critical information, as numerous other vendors sell this product.

Very pleased with the product and would recommend it.
